Waiting game once again
Zoey's massively important contrast study was done this morning to see how her intestines are doing. Results so far of what they could tell were disappointing, in a word. It only went down approximately 15cm & was blocked somehow from going further. So they'll be giving nature a chance to see if it naturally works it's way through with time & the opposite was up to see what the situation is from that direction. So we'll have to wait till tomorrow morning for more study results & hopefully the surgeon comes to talk to us or me once Sally leaves for back home. The resident came by & once again didn't know much, so the surgeon's nurse practitioner came by & answered a few more of the questions but nothing definitive. Otherwise I'll be here for 8am rounds to make sure we're on the same page & don't have poor information again & we have a clear line of action from here. Zoey's ROP (eye) test finally came back & she's in stage 1 of eye development, meaning she's normal stages for the blood vessels forming & location. So what should be a happy note of news instead gets thrown in with this stuff. Hurry up & wait, here we go again.
